On December 23, 2012, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami, publisher of Hinduism Today, was an honored guest at the inauguration of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills, California. He gave a rousing talk to an assembly of about 4,000 in respect of the importance of temple in Hindu culture. Bodhinatha reminded attendees that culture derives from Hindu temple and described the three types of temples: community temple, home shrine and atma mandiram.
