California Retreat Is On!

Weekend Retreat, May 31–June 3, 2012.

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami, assisted by Sannyasin Yoginathaswami, presents selected jewels of Hindu life for two and a half days, based on the teachings of Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami. The seminar, held in the tranquil Santa Cruz mountains, is useful for adults and older youth. And it is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet with Bodhinatha and share your questions, thoughts and inspirations with him.

Please click here to download a flyer with more information. We are gradually filling up and there are only about 15-20 seats left, so if you are interested we suggest you do not wait too long to enroll.

Bodhinatha Has Returned

Bodhinatha arrived safe and sound after a long trip from the East Coast. Sadhaka Rajanatha performs the arati at the temple to greet our Satguru.

Returning monks first receive arati in Kadavul after coming home.

It’s good to have you back Bodhinatha!

And Yoginathaswami also!

Bodhinatha Visits Hindu-Jain Temple

This is a very unique temple because it shrines Siva Lingam and the murti of Sri Mahavira. The temple also has shrines several other deities following the North Indian Smarta tradition. You can read about the temple's history on their website http://www.hindujaintemple.org/

Twenty-five years ago they invited Gurudeva for the installation of the temple. Now Bodhinatha gave his talk on the Silver Jublee of that auspicious event. We went for the morning Rudra Abhishekam with Sri Rudram chanting--beautifully done by the three Pundits, bhajans, then Bodhinatha's talk. The morning ceremony at the temple concluded with Bodhinatha giving rudraksha gift to a group of the temple devotees who successfully completed the Kailas Yatra recently and the puja sponsors. Som Sharma and others did a wonderful job oganizing the whole event and took care of us with extreme devotion and love! Thank you!

Bodhinatha Appears in Tamil News in Toronto

The Thamizhar Senthamarai is a leading Tamil newspaper in Toronto and other provinces in Canada. The attached article appeared in this paper this week-end, reporting on Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami's presence at the 48th Yogaswami Maha Samadhi Pooja, at Sangamam Hall, Toronto.

Siva Darshanam Vanam Progress

The lovely new outdoor information and display area that we call "Siva Darshanam Vanam" is progressing. The three kiosks are finished, art work depicting Gurudeva's visions that established San Marga and Iraivan are installed and the landscaping is nearly done. Several large Foxtail palms gifted by a neighbor have been planted in the back and a cactus and rock garden is under construction in the center.

Here visitors can enjoy the peace and learn all about how the temple was founded and enjoy the masterful art that our Kerala artist is creating, art which depicts the visions that Gurudeva had of Lord Siva, and more.

Bodhinatha at Sri Venkateshwara Temple Pittsburgh; City Tour

Bodhinatha has moved on from Canada to Eastern USA with the first stop at the Sri Venkateshwara Temple in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Several of the devotee here wanted Bodhinatha to give talks to local Hindu community here. Our trip here was coordinated by Mr. Som Sharma and Dharmalingam Siddhan with the help of various other devotees. One of primary concern of the Hindus here is how to pass on the religion and the culture to the next generation of American Hindus--their children. That seems be the hot topic in every discussion many had with Bodhinatha. Due to unforeseen difficulties with our camera we could not capture the event for our Taka devotees. We had one free evening and was able to be tourist for couple hours.

Aadheenam Nursery is Really Cooking

We raised about 800+ Areca palms from seedlings and these are now moving into five gallons bags. Here is the team working under Arumuganathswami's direction. After these palms fill out the five gallon bags, they will be transplanted into the ground on Himalayan Acres.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
