Ganesha Chaturthi

Millions all over the world have been celebrating Ganesha Chaturti. We had many visitors arrive at Kadavul to recieve Lord Ganapit's Darshan. After the powrful puja, everyone headed down to the river for the submergance of our many clay Ganeshas, the water was beautiful as the sun set over the mountain.

Our Wednesday evening satsang was attended by Ravi, Sheela, Arati & Mayuresh Visswanathan, Shailesh Trivedi, his mother, Radha & sister, Shivali. Another family attending was Mayuran, Amala, Lalitha, Balakumar & Chandipati Muttulingam. Each evening Bodhinatha would present the 2011-2012 annual video report of the monastery activities, a keynote movie with a topic such as Unfoldment, questions and answers session and some casual chitchat.

About 40 people attended Bodhinatha's satsang at the home of Jigisha Patel in Niles, Illinois. In this photo everyone is watching the 2011-2012 annual video update of the monasteries activities. On the screen is the section on the monastery kitchen renovation. Our portable screen works very well for these small groups.

Here is four-year-old Aran, son of Gaurav and Ripla Malhotra. Last year's visit to Chicago he was pulling Bodhinatha's carry-on luggage. Now he has graduated to pushing all the swami's luggage.
