Making Use of Good Old Equipment

Sadhaka Satyanatha blesses our newly restored 1981 Ford 4600, a 56-horsepower tractor.

Yes, we know the tractor looks like something only its mother could love, but just because some things are old does not mean that they were not well-build.

We did a lot of work restoring the bucket and getting it custom fit to the front-end loader. Now it runs just fine. In fact, it has a PTO feauture we wish we had on our newer machines.

This tracker is dedicated to mowing our noni field using this “Kickwheel Sidecutter” mower in front and a 7′ mower in the back (not yet attached.) It’s a very efficient setup for an orchard. The mower head runs out to the right of the tractor, allowing you to mow underneath the trees. The round mowing head has a rubber bumper, so that if it hits the trunk of a tree, it simple moves out of the way without doing any damage.

Amazing color show!

Awesome! Another beautiful sunset over Mount Waialeale at Kauai Aadheenam.

Chitra Puja

Today was the auspicious day of Chitra Nakshatra and we invoked Gurudeva’s presence…

Everyday we cannot but feel grateful for all that Gurudeva has given us.

We are happy to announce that the new Guru Paramapara book has been printed and we will begin distribution soon.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Gurudeva’s Mahasamadhi. It was on Deepavali Day 2001 when Gurudeva breathed his last in our mortal world. Thiruvadi Nilayam

I would like to cordially invite you and your family to attend this puja in Gurudeva’s honor. I am looking forward to sharing this auspicious day with you and your family.

Iraivan's Yesti Stones Finalized Drawings

Last month we had showed some photos of the Nandi Mandapam Yesti Stone Drawing. After approval of Bodhinatha Veylanswami, Selvanathan stapathi is redoing a new drawing for the final stone carving.

Shekar Stapathi does another part of the drawing.

Manikantan Stapathi, our resident Stapathi helps.

This yesti stone is the stone which flanks the sides of the steps and is used as a barricade and also as a support to hold and climb the steps.

Closeup of the gopuram design.

Loganathans From Maryland

Mr. and Mrs. Loganathan darshan with Bodhinatha. Satguru Yogaswami used to walk frequently by his home in Jaffna, sometimes spontaneously coming in to say a few words.

Kanagasabai and Nagulambikai Loganathan are on pilgrimage to the monastery and visit with Shanmuganathaswami and Yogi Jothinatha. They are Hinduism Today lifetime subscribers and co-creators of the Murugan Temple of North America Puja Fund, fund #70 with Hindu Heritage Endowment.

Aggarwals and Dhodias From Edmonton

The Aggarwal and Dhodia families are visiting from Edmonton, Canada. The Aggarwal family (on right) visited here 20 years ago and met our late Gurudeva at that time under a banyan tree. Gurudeva gave an assignment to Mr. Aggarwal to distribute 20 free copies of Dancing with Siva in his area.

They enjoyed talking with Bodhinatha about the Iraivan Temple heading towards completion.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
