Last week the Innersearch visited the Vedanta Madham an institution related to our lineage. Kadaitswami had a sishya that they called Sergeant Swami who was originally in the Jaffna police force. He founded this madham which follows the Tirumular interpretation of Vedanta.

This is a group photo taken on March 22, 2019 at The Thinnai Hotel in Jaffna. With a busy daily schedule of Temple visits, parade, puja and homa participation and classes the group managed to gather at the grand entrance of the Thinnai Hotel for a group photo.

Before and during Innersearch they worked tirelessly to make sure Innersearch pilgrims stay, transportation, food and all coordination with Rishi Thondunatha's team work seamlessly. But this is what they do as part of their duty and responsibility apart from their intense daily sadhanas. Kadaitswami's bronze murthy was placed in the front of the palanquin as the procession was taken around the temple perimeters

Day Seven of the Innersearch included a visit to Kadaitswami's Samadhi Temple in Jaffna. Kadaitswami abdicated judgeship and walked out of a courtroom, never to return and never practice law again when he could bear the karma to commute a death sentence. This powerful Siddhar gave fiery marketplace talks enlivening and defending Saivism in missionary times. By the inner direction of his guru he strengthened people's religious lives and was a worker of miracles. Decades ago, it was Gurudeva who climbed up a rickety ladder to the top of this temple and consecrated it with a Kumbhabishekam.

Recently, Satguru Bodhinatha and all our Innersearch pilgrims traveled to a place familiar to him and Gurudeva. The Kumbalavalai Ganesha Temple in Alaveddy, is close to the home of Kandiah Chettiar family that adopted Gurudeva in 1948. This is where Gurudeva had his early introduction to the Saivite Tamil culture.

On Monday, March 18 evening, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami was accompanied by Innersearch pilgrims to visit Sivathondan Nilayam at 434, Kankesanthurai road in Jaffna.

Recently, Satguru led the Innersearch pilgrims to the village of Alaveddy where Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami received his introduction to Hinduism and Jaffna Saivite culture. The Ashram's Pasupathiswarar Temple has Yogaswami and Gurudeva's photo above the shrine. After puja, the pilgrims planted 63 trees including Sandalwood and Teak to beautify the landscape of the future Parampara Shrine area. Sanjai Shanmuganathan, the young contractor has started work in rebuilding the retaining wall area and later work on the Shrine.

On day four of the 2019 Innersearch, pilgrims joined students of the Kopay Kottam in an elaborate parade with music and flags. Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami and the pilgrims stopped at the local temple nearby to offer our worship and continued to Subramuniya Kottam in Kopay.

Yesterday our monks traveling in Sri Lanka, made a brief stop over at the Santhirapala family’s Bhairava Temple in Erlalai. There they enjoyed a wonderful puja with the UK-based family, who are also attending the 2019 Innersearch program.
