“Theism, Monism, Meditation, the Shumif Perspective” (December 27, 2015)

Gurudeva’s teachings and Saiva Siddhanta: Monistic Theism, Advaita Ishvaravada. Become a great Theist first. When perfected, through charya, kriya, yoga and jnana, when devotion to God Isvara is really strong, only then focus on Monism. We’re Monists when we meditate; we’re Theists when we worship. Shumif: See the inner light, hear the high eee sound, go in and in and stay within one’s self; awareness is traveling and consciousness is stationary.

Rudra Homa at Murugan Temple in Kajang

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami and Sannyasin Shanmuganathaswami are currently traveling in Malaysia. They recently attended a morning Rudra homa at a Murugan Temple in Kajang. The homa was a fundraising event for Iraivan Temple. Some 500 sponsorships were offered. It was attended by about 1,000 people. There were eight priests chanting Rudram and about three assistant priests. The nakshatra was Ardra and the vibration was high. Satguru attended the last part of the event and then gave vibhuti for an hour and a half. Satguru said that "many of our members attending, commented that they had never attended a Rudra homa before. There is already interest in doing this again next year."

Satguru gave and evening book presentation at Scott Road Murugan Kalamandapam and gave a Keynote presentation "Eight Gems of Wisdom from the Tirukural." A number of Weaver's Wisdom and other books were sold and signed.

"The Practice of Contentment" (November 6, 2015)

Reflect on happiness, joy and sorrow. Even when having what we want, suffering is built in. Sometimes we condition our happiness. During morning sadhana claim and move awareness into the fourth dimension, (simvumkami in Shum), the anahata chakra, contentment. The goal is to find your inner bliss, ananda, in meditation, feel the spiritual energy of the spine and hold it throughout the day. In Shum ibihaiiishum: The sadhana of bringing forth from oneself joy and happiness under all circumstances.

Master Course, Dancing with Siva, Lesson 51

Staying in Tune with Superconsciosness

"Staying in Tune with Superconsciousness" (October 30, 2015)

By having a strong habit of a daily religious practice we don't lose contact with with superconscious by the demands of the external. Saying and believing, "I'm all right right now," influences the flow of spiritual energy. Work intuitively, from 'inner orders.' Yogaswami said: "Summa iru. Be still, and what you need will come to you."

Master Course, Merging with Siva, Lesson 200.

Bodhinatha's Recent Sun One Upadeshas on Language and the Conscious Mind

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami

Bodhinatha's Latest Upadeshas:"Detach Awareness From the Conscious Mind" (October 6, 2015)

Avoid creating ripples in life, being permanently emotionally disturbed. The English language is a conscious mind language structured to teach us that we are our emotions. Be observant of thought patterns and detach yourself. The "I" is not the body nor emotions. The "I" is the spiritual being.

Master Course, Merging with Siva, Lesson 172.

The Power of Meditation to Change Your Mind (October 21, 2015)

Superconsciousness is always there within us. A simple key to contacting it is relaxation. Step back, become internalized. Meditation requires retraining the way we think. The mind is used to doing external things. Subjugate externalizing samskaras (external impressions) by employing restraint, nirodha. This produces a new impression in the mind, the impression of restraint. In time, through years of practice, eventually we achieve vichara, the power of one-pointedness and cognition. Then something else begins to occur, deep in meditation, intuitions come, and they modify the impressions and we begin to change the total content of our minds. The gradual building of the impressions of restraint and intuitions make it easier and easier to meditate.
