New on TAKA: Video Upadeshas by Bodhinatha
Riding on the high-tech beam of the latest technology, we are testing something new: posting videos of Bodhinatha’s Sun 1 upadeshas, those that he gives to a small and blessed audience by the homa fire.
It used to be that those in search of the guru’s precious words, words which, our scriptures say, are worth more than gold, had to travel far and wide, for weeks or months, until they reached a faraway mountain or a monumental temple. Times have changed, but the teachings have not. Make a pilgrimage to the lotus of your heart, let go of the clamor of the world, prepare yourself for a moment. Then listen to Bodhinatha’s words, and by seeing him externally, you will connect with him internally — for, as he reminds us, the inner and the outer are two aspects of the same being.
Our traditional audio, more polished than the video version, will be posted normally along with its transcript. There will be improvements on the video quality in the weeks to come, but we would love to know what you think of this new idea. Leave a comment and let us know what you think!
Jai to Bodhinatha, jai to the Kailasa Parampara.

Wonderful! It is like being there with Bodhinatha. But please don’t give up the audio – I upload them onto the iPod to listen to any place, any time. Aum Namah Sivaya.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon in Palo Alto at Skype HQ. An executive explained how deep and intimate video communication is compared with other ways to connect. With video we see the non-verbal cues, the energy of sight is involved and not distracted. Now, this morning, seeing this first Video Upadesh, fits right in. In addition to Bodhinatha’s clear explanations of inner and outer things, the glowing Crystal Lingam is a Presence in Itself. Perhaps something in the lighting: there are many small light flashes on the silver tripundra. Aum.

The video quality is good. I had no problem watching the full video on my iPad without any pause or choppiness. It really felt like being at the lotus feet of Bodhinatha. Thank you very much for this wonderful new addition to TAKA. Aum.

I was just thinking yesterday about seeing the fullfillment of the affirmation “all my needs will always be met” in little daily details. I carried it through this morning and connected the feeling of joy to the reality of my needs being met. I am tongue tied with gratitude for this new feature on TAKA. Jai Ganapati, Jai Satguru Bodhinatha! Jai and Mahalo to the monks of the Kailasa Parampara!!!!

It’s not choppy at all. It’s very clear and I could even see the diamond like shine in Satguru’s eyes. The lesson is exactly what I needed to hear at this moment. It feels as if I am there and the 20 minutes went by really quick 🙂
Thank you.

Loved the video. The quality was excellent. Please continue to record and deseminate these upadeshas of Bodhinatha, as well as any video of Gurudeva. They are food to the soul, and we need our food.
