Sunset Atop Muruga Hill
Over this past retreat, a monk found himself walking along San Marga. It was late in the afternoon and the 4.6 billion year old star at the center of our solar system whom we call Surya began to make His daily westbound departure. Peering up from the base of Muruga Hill through singing bamboo clusters, our monk saw Muruga's Vel brightly illuminated as a result. It was getting late and he had things to do, but he couldn't resist making the brief ascent to enjoy His beauty.
Muruga Hill is a simple, quiet place. Weathered by worship, secluded, and standing amongst a silence pierced only by the audible offerings of His roosters, it's a perfect place to go within to meet the real you who's been waiting there patiently for so long. Om Muruga.
