Our wonderful newly weds from Toronto returned today, Dushy and Neera Gnanapragasam. As they are originally from Sri Lanka, they have been having a great time on Kauai, which has a similar climate and environment. We really appreciated the way they dressed in their finest Hindu clothing to come to the temple!
Preparations for Guru Purnima and the Innersearch are moving forward with great intensity. Oh so many small tasks to complete. Here is just one of many projects: a giant banner printed on canvas for the entry way printed on our “dream machine” the Hewlett Packard 2500 Design Jet large format printer.
The entire staff of the Ganapati Kulam has been recruited for a variety of interesting duties. It’s a fun break from the regular tasks of our publishing work. Here is Arumugaswami working on a map for pilgrims so that people who have never been here before can see where they are and get a sense of the “lay of the land.”
That’s all for today…This is the last day of the phase and this TAKA will remain up for two days over the retreat and return packed with photos from events here on Kauai on Wednesday, July 18th.

Innersearch 2002 in Hawaii!
Our next Innersearch Travel-Study program will be held right here on the island of Kauai in the summer of 2002. It’s the first such program on the Garden Island since 1974! From July 17 to July 22 we will enjoy daily classes with the swamis, join in the annual Guru Purnima festival, be inspired by local culture, explore the lush tropical island in exciting and non-touristy ways, and more. Be prepared for a wonderful spiritual experience in paradise with meditations, seminars and sacred ceremonies at the Siva temple of Kauai’s Hindu Monastery.
