At home… gifts are piling up in front our of jade Pancha Ganapati… lots of chocolates! 😉

Sadhaka Dandapani (behind the camera) and Sadhaka Jivanandanatha continued their rounds today, going to various community members and associates.

One highlight was yesterday’s meeting with Kauai’s Honorable Mayor Bryan Baptiste, when we handed over “End Kauai’s Ice Age” anti-drug campaign bumper stickers that were engineered by the monks. Actually one of Gurudeva’s old Himalayan Academy students in California, Kumar (Alex) Hunter, has been silk screening these at his Imprints Products facility and sending them here. The monks cut them up and delivered them. They are special because they don’t fade in the sun.. and are a big hit. We know Alex, who made these bumper stickers, and has been for several years, doesn’t surf the internet, so if any of our California members would like to pay him a surprise visit as a fun Pancha Ganapati “secret mission” you can drop into his shop one day at

Or just give him a phone call to say hello and thank him for helping with Gurudeva’s mission work on Kauai. Ask for “Alex” at 650-349-5723. And if you need any quality silk screened imprinted products Alex is a top craftsman in this field!

Just in from Seattle: Pancha Ganapati at the Nitya Nadesan home. Nitya says “There are five images of Ganesha on the altar…”

In the next issue of Hinduism Today we have an article on the on-going controversy and struggles surrounding the Swastika. Asians want to restore the ancient symbol to its former glorious cultural position as a symbol of divine auspiciousness. Meanwhile it’s use by Hitler has tarnished it, some say, beyond redemption… read about it in the next issue… a very interesting subject.

Sannyasin Natarajnathaswami put his skilled artistic hand to work using computer graphics… to render a very “benevolent” looking version. It’s still a work in progress…
