What Happened Today at the Monastery?

Bodhinatha left for Singapore and Malaysia early this morning with Sadhaka Tejadevanatha.

Here is Chellappa Deva fulfilling Gurudeva’s guidance to distribute literature. This is a table display at the consecration of the Ekta Mandir in Arizona.

Today’s Guests

A visiting Hindu family, originally from Mumbai, just heard about the Iraivan Temple on their last day on Kauai. They were very happy and surprised, “what a blessing to experience this now in its building stage. We definitely want to return for the opening ceremonies.”

George and Jenny Nakasone arrived with Jenny’s mother, Natsuko Higuchi. They are here visiting from Oahu on the recommendation of Peggy Oshiro a previous guest.

Natsuko recently celebrated her 95th birthday on June 1st, 2007. She wants to live long enough to see the Iraivan Temple completed. George and Jenny agreed, “We love this beautiful place and also want to return. Its so peaceful here.”

Silpi Chellaiya Finishes Menehune Bhuta

In just one short week Chellaiya, one of the temple silpis, added many refinements to this hand-carved beautiful white granite Menehune holding up the “waterspout.”

The board under the Menehune is the thickness of the red granite floor which will be arriving in the next shipment of stone.
