What Happened Today at the Monastery?

A new phase today began with Sun One Homa as usual. Bodhinatha read from the insight section, “My Friend, Lord Ganesha,” which is in the October edition of Hinduism Today that is in the last few days of production.

It’s summer time… and guests are coming. With children out of school, we find whole families traveling together who are always uplifting to host.

Here is Pandit Parashar and his wife, Kanan, and wonderful children Shivani, Eesha and Govinda who are here on Kauai just to visit the temple. Pandit had contributed an article to Hinduism Today about 20 years ago so he has always wanted to see the place where the magazine is produced.

The family had a nice meeting with Bodhinatha who shared with them on how to incorporate religion in their whole day.

Tushar and Alka Doshi with their children, Ekta and Amrita, are here on their second visit. They were here one and a half years ago and enjoyed their visit so much that they decided to return. They enjoyed seeing the progress on Iraivan temple.

They also had a nice meeting with Bodhinatha who shared with them some key points on raising children as good Hindus. Both Ekta and Amrita chose to be vegetarians and enjoy their religion very much.

We are reminded of the old saying: “Families that pray together, stay together.”
