More Asphault is Gifted to the Monastery
Another road-resurfacing project has begun in our town of Kapaa. They have to first remove and grind up the old layer of asphault. This asphault, called "cold plane," is usually taken to a big pile next to the airport, but authorities this time said they can't take any more for now. They know, from a previous recent project, that we are always happy to receive more cold plan, so they offered it to us, all for free. Last time we had to pay for transportation.
This is all quite a boon. Along with building up various roadways in the monastery, most of it will be used to create a solid surface for the upcoming parking lot and buildings next to the rudraksha grove.
