What Happened Today at the Monastery?

Narayandas and Sangeetha Kamath are here on pilgrimage from Toronto, Canada for 7 days. Here they are helping with Mahasivaratri decorations. Narayan promised Bodhinatha last year when he met him in Toronto that he would visit soon. So, they came for Mahasivaratri to fulfill that promise.

Time for a nature walk… the weather is still cold at night, but days are warming up and the plants are all coming to life.

Though we have no snow in Hawaii, it does get cool and our garden slows down… It is starting to pump again… fabulous looking cabbage!

Lettuce can be challenging, but our Siddhidata Kulam is producing some beautiful varieties.

Kale doesn’t mind the cool weather.. and is growing really well.

Some beds are deliberately left fallow to “rest” while others are planted in rotation. The same species is usually not planted twice in the same bed…
