Bodhinatha In Trinidad and Guyana, August 2011

In 2011, August, Bodhinatha and Shanmuganathaswami went to Guyana via Trinidad. Flying from Guyana back to the US on August 11, Bodhinatha and Shanmuganathaswami were scheduled for a 12-hour layover in Trinidad which was put to good use.

Well, that was too great an opportunity for the dedicated Trinidad sevaks not to seize. The layover was transformed intop an extention of the swamis' visit. Directly from the airport, they went for darshan to the Hari Mandir, Pandit Narendra and Ashwinee Ragoonanan's temple in Tuna Puna. Here they are with Panditji.

Shanmuganathaswami said of Kiran, "She is a powerhouse of energy and enthusiasm, and she is deeply involved with creative projects to enliven and uplift the young people of Trinidad." Prior to our interview, she had asked her twelve year old son Joshua for three questions to ask Bodhinatha. He came up with these: do Hindus believe the world is going to end in 2012? Do Hindus believe in aliens from other planets? Do Hindus believe there are good and evil forces in theƊuniverse such as are protrayed in Star Wars and Harry Potter? You will soon find Bodhinatha's answers by searching YouTube.

Shanmuganatha is garlanded by Anaya Kallo as he and Bodhinatha arrive at her parents home. They have been invited there to rest by themselves for a few hours. The house owners are Roger and Shama Ganesh.

Shanmuganathaswami reports, "We copied some of Bodjinatha's slide show talks onto thumb drives for Ashwinee's use. At one point we had four laptops and two iPads on Roger's home office desk. Ashwinee wants to show the Keynote presentations at various mandirs during their Sunday services to help keep keep Bodhinatha's messages alive and spread the eternal teachings of peace, happiness and success attainable to all through simple sadhana."

It is not advisable to habitually sit for meditation with no particular goal or direction, for we often end up walking in mental or subconscious circles.
