God of Fear/God of Love - Publisher's Desk

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami reads his editorial from the Jul/Aug/Sep 2013 edition of Hinduism Today magazine. "Love is the basis of worship in all Hindu denominations, expressed through bhakti yoga toward one's chosen Deity." Bodhinatha clarifies that Hinduism is a joyous religion characterised by an outpouring of love from Gods and Goddesses. According to Hindu philosophy, whatever happens to us is the result of past self created actions and does not represent the wrath of God. Hinduism teaches us how to invoke the divine blessings and the importance of having a chosen deity, Istha Devatha. Bodhinatha outlines how bhakti yoga eventually leads to intense love of God.

Holding the family together can be summed up in one word: love. Love is understanding. Love is acceptance. Love is making somebody feel good about his experience, whether the experience is a good one or not.
