The Company We Keep

A Hindu Saivite Brahmin in London tells Gurudeva about his roomate--a jolly good chap, overall, except for when he explains how Hindus will go to hell unless they accept Jesus. Hmmn. Gurudeva, what should he do? As we would guess, Gurudeva recommends he surround himself with like minded Hindus, or at least devout Hindus, so that he can delve ever deeper into his own spiritual path.

A better word than death is transition, passing into a new form of life--life into life. It is similar to moving to a new country, having completed all of one's tasks. Death is a closing of the door on deeds well done, on all beneficial karmas.
