Remain Apart From "Put Down People"

Gurudeva speaks about Sutra #12 of Living with Siva. Gurudeva discusses how we can deal with the put down people, the winner and loser people, those in competition, those living in lower nature and how we should stay in our own tranquility.

Unedited Transcript:

Well, our 'Living with Siva' sutra today, Lesson 12.

"All seekers of truth must endeavor to be the best in whatever they do, to excel and make a difference. However, they should remain apart from the demeaning and contentious, "winner and loser" spirit of competition."

That is a very good thing for us to caution all of the sishya. when you get to be with people, who are 'put-down' people, demeaning or contentious or argumentative. They are the 'winner-and-loser' people. They enjoy seeing somebody else suffer just a little bit. It gives them a thrill. It is their lower nature. Wisdom is to stay away from those people. Avoid their company. Maintain your own tranquility.

God's presence is everywhere, through everything, in everything, for Siva is the creator of all things, the manifestor of time, form and the space between forms.
