Discouragement, depression and despair are obstacles to all human endeavours. The goal of a seeker is to strive from an early stage to regulate the imbalance of these forces. Challenges are inevitable if we want to progress spiritually. Impersonalisation, anticipation of plausible difficulties ahead, flexibility and effective planning are key to overcoming disappointment.
