Culture Crisis?

An e-devotee in Ashburn, Virginia, USA, asks if Hindu culture will survive. Gurudeva is inspired to give a more lengthy answer, and he stresses how Hindu culture comes out of the worship and devotional sadhanas performed in the temples. Gurudeva adds that while there are many trying to bring the best of the West to the East, there are at the same time many bringing the best of the East to the West.

Giving a gift begrudgingly in return for another gift is, of course, mere barter. Many families barter their way through life in this way, thinking they are giving. But such gifts are cold, the fulfillment is empty, and the law of karma pays discounted returns.
