Kailasa Parampara Guru Vandana

A Chant to the Kailasa Preceptors

Translation: The guru parampara that began with Sadasiva, that is filled with the bliss of Nandinatha; that radiates the Siddhantic light of Tirumlar, (1)

That flows glimmering gently from the holy silence of Rishi; that was adorned by the power of the wondrous siddhis of Kadaitswami; (2)

That has been enriched by Chellappaswami, that has been splendidly articulated by Yogaswami that instantly destroys miseries and showers sublime bliss; (3)

That has, though the great, auspiciously devotional sadhanas of Gurudeva (Sivaya Subramuniyaswami), who followed Siva's liberating San Marga; (4)

And that is currently protected enthusiastically and in all ways by Bodhinathaswami, to that Guru Parampara I offer my heartfelt obeisance. (5)

Seeing the mind in its totality convinces the seeker that he is something else, he is the witness who observes the mind and cannot, therefore, be the mind itself. Then we realize that the mind in its superconsciousness is pure.
