Chaperone Yourselves; A Study in School Success
Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami , 2000-11-05
A young lady asks Gurudeva how to go on after some "past mistakes" in her relationships with men. Gurudeva suggests that she and her female friends chaperone each other and take the responsibility for arranging a marriage, since the family apparently is not fulfilling this function. Then an e-devotee in New Zealand asks Gurudeva how to focus on University studies but not forget about Siva. Gurudeva says that being successful in studies is the reason for going to the University, not to make friends, join groups, attend parties and social funtions, and a good religious study will only help the school studies.
