A Śivāchārya priest bathes the satguru’s feet during pādapūjā, worshiping him as Śiva. A devotee kneels, offering flowers at his holy feet, bedecked with sandal paste and red kumkum. The path from charyā to kriyā to yoga and finally to jñāna is passed from guru to disciple.§
