Good morning everyone. And today, we get to start a new chapter from "Merging with Siva" Chapter 43 entitled: "Forcefields and Psychic Protection" drawn from "The 1970 Master Course." We're still back in 1970 for a few more chapters. And some history from "The Guru Chronicles" about the 1970's. "The venue of this remarkable clairvoyant happening was the garden restaurant of Coco Palms Hotel. As the librarian presented each volume (This is all in the inner world.) and turned page after page, I (Gurudeva) dictated slowly to a sincere monastic scribe, who patiently and accurately wrote down each word. These were the days when cigarette smoke billowed forth from elite hotel guests at neighboring tables, clouding the atmosphere and creating an ambiance in which the akashic manuscripts could be clearly seen. (A boon of cigarette smoking. Can see akashic manuscripts.) The backdrop of Hawaiian music, the hubbub of people talking and the lower vibration of worldly feelings, too, helped screen out the conscious mind to make this clairvoyant siddhi a working reality. "On some days reams of pages were turned and read; on other days nothing was seen. Vigilantly, morning after morning, week after week, month after month, we sat waiting, while enjoying fruit, yogurt and coffee, for my inner eye to open on the inner-plane library. The restaurant was not in an ordinary location. Our table overlooked tropical ponds amid the island’s largest coconut grove near the ocean on the east side of Kauai, the oldest and northernmost of the Hawaiian archipelago. Each day’s writings, gleaned by my astral vision near the birthstone heiau, where royalty were birthed in olden times, were penned in letter-sized spiral notebooks. Before noon, we returned with them, following the sacred Wailua River four miles inland, to my ashram, now the site of Kadavul Hindu Temple." Nice background. Lesson 295. "Nature's Two Basic Forces “There are two basic forces in the universe, which you can look up in the dictionary. One is called odic force. The other is actinic force. Odic force is magnetic force. Odic force is the force of collective energies that make things—trees, chairs, tables, houses, the physical body. Odic force is of the material world—dense and heavy. The aura around the physical body and the forces of nature which govern much of man’s life on Earth are odic force. "Actinic force is your pure life force coming from the central source deep within, out through the nerve system. But as soon as this pure life force begins to mingle with the astral atoms and the physical body atoms, it turns to odic force. The study of these two forces can give you a great awakening—two primal forces. "The sahasrāra chakra, the ājñā chakra, the viśuddha chakra—the top three, the head and throat centers—are primarily actinic force centers of rarefied inner consciousness within the superconscious itself. The anāhata chakra, the heart center, which allows us to look out into the external world and within to the internal areas, is primarily a mixture of actinic force and odic force. It’s called actinodic. It’s a mixture of these two forces. However, the lower three chakras—maṇipūra, svādhishṭhāna and mūlādhāra—are primarily odic force chakras. They are the forces that make up what we call the world. "The iḍā and piṅgalā forces are basically odic forces. So, therefore, when the odic force is withdrawn back into the sushumṇā, back into the actinic substance, we completely lose awareness of the external world. This is how we enter meditation, by withdrawing the odic forces. The prāṇa is the in-between. It is the actinodic force that flows in and through odic and actinic forces. It is the binder of these two forces. "But it is easier to relate to the word odic and the word actinic and compare these two forces, because you can feel them through your physical body. Lift your arm. The movement of the spirit within is actinic force, and all the rest that happens is odic force, including the arm itself, the vibrations around the arm. They’re all odic force. The mixture of what is going on is actinodic force, which is the closest, in looking at it in this way, that we come to prāṇa. "When we are in actinic force and we are aware of it, we have harmony, we have peace in all aspects of our external nature. Everything goes right and everyone sees eye to eye and finds points of agreement, one with another. There’s no argument, and there’s no confusion. However, when we become conscious in and awareness is flowing through the odic force realms, awareness actually thinks it is odic force. Then we have inharmonious conditions to live in. No one sees eye to eye, one with another. There’s argument, and there is contention. "Look at these chakras as vast fields of collective related and interrelated thought realms, like vast cities, and look at awareness as the traveler through these chakras. When you are flowing awareness through one of these vast energy fields of actinodic force or actinic force, with these thought or perceptive layers within it, you think a certain way as you hit each of these strata of thought. Think of it that way. As you travel through, the nerve ganglia within the spinal cord are registering all this and bringing what you are experiencing into your immediate consciousness. You become aware of it through the nerve ganglia within the spine. "Through a mixture of actinic and odic force, willpower and awareness motivate the travels through these layers of the mind. When the nerve force does begin to register when you’re in a certain chakra, it begins to vibrate, and it throws off color and it throws off sound, and then, within you, you do see these disc-like wheels spinning. I have experienced that. I have seen them, and they’re just like they are represented in the picture books, but much more vivid. They have sounds—in fact, they’re quite noisy—because color and sound and energy are all the same thing in the inner realms, and that is how they have produced these images that you see in books on mysticism and occultism. However, they are greater than that. They are great energy fields in the inner man, and they flow. They are what make up people. The physical body has a connection to each one of these seven chakras, though you may not be aware of all of them—you may only be aware in one of them or two of them—and that is the way you think." Then we get our latest Shum words. We have a long list of Shum words today. Mainly about actinic energy, they're a very interesting study. So this first is unhappy-happy. sika Feeling an unhappy condition inside the body. rehsika A disturbance between people; a tug and pull of pranic or odic energy between one person and another or one group and another; an idea or memory pattern that would cause disturbance to the mind if unleashed; a congested area of the mind which acts as a barrier to unfoldment of superconsciousness; such disturbances must be cleared before unfoldment can proceed. imrehsika Resolving a pranic disturbance; to be rid of an idea or memory pattern of an odic nature that is causing disturbance to the mind if unleashed, and which acts as a barrier to unfoldment of superconsciousness. (Then we get the happy one.) mika Satguru's formal seat of authority, known as simhasana or pitham in Sanskrit; it represents the presence of the guru, and is used by no one else. simika Happiness. shumsimika Happy, secure feeling; joyous, lighthearted; rehsika is the name of entangled pranic energy; shumsimika is its opposite, smoothly flowing pranic energy; a state of joy or happiness felt when the emotions are high and the mind is fresh; a refined state of bliss or joy that penetrates from the fourth dimension into the third dimension and is felt through the physical nerve system; this is felt when the pranas are all flowing in harmonious directions within individuals and between them and others; a quiet feeling of contentment abides. (So those are the first two. Then we get some on actinic energy. Some of these words are hard to pronounce.) ínnyaf Awareness of experiencing one’s own soul body; awareness of being a soul body living in the astral and physical bodies. ínnyamf Awareness of experiencing the quantum level of actinic energy that feeds the soul body; awareness of being a soul body living on the quantums of energy particles. An advanced tantra. liftye Affectionately detached universal love; enjoying the bliss of this fifth dimensional love for all form. iliftye Being the Self in everyone; seeing, knowing, feeling, being yulamf, the life force, actinic energy in everyone, especially those closest to the experiencer through vumtyelinasi; after im'kaif one may enter and hold the state this portrait names. (The we get:) sifna Name of a way of life after the Self has been realized. misifna Seeing one's self as all form, in all actinic energy; after imkaif, one may enter and hold this state of seeing as one's self all form in all actinic energy and actinic energy in all form; this occurs simultaneously. (Then we get one that's a challenging one to pronounce. First one's easy.) vina A stringed Indian classical musical instrument that releases prana through the body. (Interesting description of it here.) yvina Flow; energy when seen flowing like water, such as in a river or stream. viyvina Flow of prana from the Self into the astral and out through the physical body. miviyvina Energy released into the solar plexus through dance, flowing out into the body. nammiviyvina Energy flow from Self into solar plexus for storage tyenammiviyvina Actinic energy released after Self realization; after im’kaif, one enters a state of being actinic energy, force, flowing through all form; one can flow as life through leaves, trees and people; one is conscious of this as it happens (seeing and hearing what other forms of life see and hear) and has certain direction over it. So those of the kinds of experiences Gurudeva is describing there of pure actinic energy. Thank you very much. Have a wonderful day. [End of transcript.]
