Gurudeva's Statement -- Attack on America
Gurudeva has often said that Yogaswami is on the inner planes... working day and night and very active... Here is another of his beautiful works, a letter to a young man.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sivamayam
Yogendra!
Look everything is Sivamayam. Then who are you? Who am I? Who is your father? Who are they, and what are all others? Are they not all Sivam? Are you still in doubt? Do you fear? Look! I in you, and you in me, and all being ONE and ONE being all, remain changeless as ever before. Arise, know more and more.
All is well, all is well, all is well.
Yours,
The birthless and deathless one.
Yogaswami
Satsang with Acharya Palaniswami, every day more pilgrims are coming from points far and wide. Today we had new arrivals from Edmonton and Montreal, Canada.
Making garlands is a favorite activity of devotees at the temple.
The foundation of religious life is "Chariya" or religious service. It consists of living a moral live and performing basic duties and specifically the various external tasks and activities associated with the acts of worship.
Consistency is the key to spiritual life. Chariya can also be equated to Bhakti yoga, expressions of devotion and love. On this foundation one can begin to build a spiritual life.
It was an historic day yesterday when the first copies of Living with Siva arrived from Malaysia. These were "advance" volumes sent specially to the Aadheenam. It is an amazing work, weighting nearly four pounds, with all the exquisite artwork in living color on beautiful glossy paper.
Working together in the temple, people have the opportunity for satsang, devotees together, minds on divine matters, worldly concerns set aside, meeting of hearts in a sacred space.
The publications team admires the great job that was done by the printers in Malaysia.
Title: Divorce and Bankruptcy Part 2
Category: Family
Duration:
So an answer to the question from a cyber space devotee, a very nice question - "Is a divorce similar or the same as going out of business or bankruptcy?"
The answer is - Yes, it is, because in both cases - the divorce or bankruptcy - everyone is the loser. The employees are losers, the children are losers, the suppliers are losers, everyone is a loser, and everyone takes sides.
In case of a marriage, the friends of a husband take his side, the friends of a wife take her side, and there is a division. Sometimes the courts take the side of the children, and the children are divided. In the case of the business, the employers take sides, the partnership breaks up and they take sides, and their friends take sides. It is the breakdown of the community, it is the breakdown of society, but it is the creation of a lot of very bad karma that has to be worked out in this or probably, in a future life.
There's great loss in the case of a marriage that breaks up or a business that breaks up and the loss is - trust in the individuals concerned. They lose their ability to trust each other, to trust themselves and of course, no one trusts them.
Within the great Sanatana Dharma we have the astrological compatibility between a man and a woman, the ability to understand the children, between business partners and employees. If that is employed and dharma is obeyed, success is assured.
Well, thank you for your very nice questions. Cyberspace devotees, do ask more questions. It is good to speak to the needs of the moment.
Innersearch postponed
Due to the horrific tragedies of September 11th, Himalayan Academy has indefinitely postponed the Canadian Innersearch scheduled to leave next July. Please be assured, we will re-schedule the Innersearch, but only when the present insecurity around the world settles down. Until then, if you are planning to go on a future Innersearch program with Gurudeva, continue to set aside a little income each month in a special fund. |
