Sometimes our questions to Gurudeva stimulate a response that is not what we expected. That may be the case with today's question from cyberspace, which asks, "Why were all the major religions born in the middle east?" Gurudeva answers that there were many other "major" religions in the world, once upon a time.

Giving a gift begrudgingly in return for another gift is, of course, mere barter. Many families barter their way through life in this way, thinking they are giving. But such gifts are cold, the fulfillment is empty, and the law of karma pays discounted returns.
