Gurudeva explains retreat days and how the 25-30 residents of Kauai Aadenam spend this time.

This is the first day of a two-day retreat here at Kauai Aadheenam. We are closed.

We have 25 full-time, male residents here and they are highly powered, highly educated. Some have been here thirty years, others longer. They are from Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mauritius, mainland America. And, they produce 'Hinduism Today', manage temples, and this entire large ashram.

But today, we are on retreat and tomorrow we are on retreat. That means, we don't see or talk to anybody. We don't answer the phone or the computer, unless in an emergency.

So, all of you in cyberspace, I want you to know that we love you and our love is pouring out to you, minute by minute, hour by hour, for the next two days and then we will be active again day-after tomorrow.
