A new phase began to day with our homa in the morning. This is a short but dynamic 4-day phase coming up with Chitra puja and preparations for Bodhinatha’s departure to Malaysia, alongside the preparations for the coming innersearch.

Two world renowned classical Indian musicians came to visit the temple today. They played a Tala Records concert last night at the Kauai Community College. Kala Ramnath (on the right) has revolutionized the technique of playing the violin, bringing it so close to vocal music that she is acclaimed as “The Singing Violin.”

Ty Burhoe is a tabla master having been a disciple of Ustad Zakir Hussain since 1990. Founder of the Tala Records label Burhoe is a Hawaii resident and is committed to bringing Indian music to Hawaiian island communities.
