In the back is Gurudeva’s picture, of him doing abhishekam to the Siva Lingam. It was in 1983 that he first order an Apple II computer, including one for the monks in San Francisco, who he told to go out and go to classes on how to use it. We have come a long way since then.

The annual rudraksha season is upon us and our land is covered with hundreds of thousands of blue marbles… the tears of Lord Siva’s Compassion.
Yogi Jothinatha shows some sprouted rudrakshas. The seeds can be notoriously difficult to sprout and seem to have a mind of their own. It may take months and months and conditions must be just right.
Our recent classic Kauai weather, showers, sun, showers, sun, rain for hours, sun… is perfect. The seeds are slowly permeated with moisture and the warm sun does the trick….
Sadhaka Nandinatha has almost completed photo selection and captioning of all the photos from the one month long mission and they will be coming to a slideshow near you soon.
Inspired Talk: Title: Niyama Ten: Tapas
Category: Soul Duration: 15 min, 4 secs

Description:
Tapas is to practice austerity, serious disciplines, penance and sacrifice which increases the speed at which we are moving forward on the spiritual path. Daily sadhanas and penance to atone for misdeeds are obligatory. Austerities, assigned and overseen by a guru, give a great sense of release from the past, a profounder understanding of the path and deepening of one's worship and meditation. Meditation on Ishana and Tatpurusha: veiling and revealing grace. All along we are Siva and finally that dawns on us.
